How We Named the Brand

From Tribal Roots to Brighter Futures

Tribalight was created by combining “Tribe” and “Light” a name that expresses both identity and aspiration. More than a product brand, it symbolises a light of opportunity reaching tribal homes, helping traditional skills, local produce and community-made products move confidently from remote Chandrapur communities into wider consumer markets.

Challenge

The challenge was to transform a diverse portfolio of tribal and farm-based products into one credible, contemporary brand while retaining their cultural authenticity, community roots and natural character for competitive mainstream markets.

Objective

Our objective was to build a distinctive, scalable consumer brand that could create stronger market visibility, unify multiple product categories, communicate tribal provenance and help Vandhan Krushi Vikas FPC reach wider audiences.

Brand Logo Design

A Visual Identity Born From Nature

The Tribalight identity was developed around the relationship between the tribal community and the natural world surrounding it. Tribal-inspired visual elements gave the logo its distinctive cultural character, while the colour palette was intentionally derived from nature - brown for earth and soil, blue for water, green for nature and vegetation, and orange for the sun, energy and the larger universe.

The Samarkan-style typography was selected to add a strong sense of Indian originality and a visual character reminiscent of traditional tribal expression.

Consistent Market Presence

Brand Guidelines & Marketing Collaterals

A comprehensive visual system was developed to ensure Tribalight remained recognisable across every customer touchpoint. Trimitiy extended this identity across standees, hoardings, product catalogues, promotional material and exhibition stall branding, enabling Tribalight to present itself professionally at marketplaces, exhibitions, events and consumer-facing platforms.

Brand Packaging

Stories on Every Pack

Packaging became one of the strongest storytelling opportunities for Tribalight. Trimitiy developed custom-drawn tribal characters as brand mascots, giving the range an ownable and memorable visual language.

Rather than creating unrelated packs for individual products, a flexible packaging system was developed that could accommodate multiple categories while retaining a clear Tribalight family identity. The characters, colours, illustrations and product information worked together to connect every product back to its tribal roots.

Diya, Dhoop & Havan Cup

Tradition, Made Contemporary

For products such as diyas, dhoop and havan cups, the packaging was designed around their connection with traditional Indian rituals and everyday spirituality. Tribal visual cues added a distinctive cultural identity while the contemporary presentation helped make these traditional products suitable for modern retail, gifting and wider consumer markets.

Fragrance With Roots

Giving Everyday Rituals a Tribal Signature

The incense stick range was given a warm, distinctive packaging language that connected fragrance, nature and tribal culture. Strong brand recognition, illustrative elements and a clear product hierarchy helped transform an everyday category into a recognisable Tribalight offering with greater visibility on both physical and digital shelves.

Purposeful Premium Gifting

Tribal Stories for Meaningful Gifting

Tribalight gift boxes were designed to bring multiple community-made products together in a more premium and presentable format. The packaging elevated the perceived value of the products while retaining the cultural story behind them, creating an attractive proposition for festive gifting, corporate gifting, institutional orders and special occasions.

Kitchen & Food Products

Unifying a Diverse Natural Food Range

The kitchen portfolio brought together varied products including ghee, honey, eggs, flours, chia seeds, tamarind and spices. A flexible packaging architecture helped these very different categories appear as part of one cohesive brand while giving each product enough individual distinction, information clarity and shelf presence to compete effectively in the market.

Smart Packaging System

One Box, Multiple Spice Variants

To reduce packaging costs without compromising brand consistency, Trimitiy created one common spice box adaptable across multiple variants. Only the product sticker changes for Garam Masala, Cumin-Coriander Powder, Shahi Pulao Masala, Shahi Biryani Masala and Kanda Lasoon Masala, simplifying inventory.

Natural Compost

Back to the Earth

For the natural compost product, the packaging language shifted naturally toward soil, cultivation and responsible agriculture while remaining within the Tribalight identity system. Earth-led visual cues and clear product communication helped create a straightforward, trustworthy presentation for a product closely connected with farming, land and the brand’s larger relationship with nature.

E-commerce Website

From Local to Digital

To give the brand a market beyond exhibitions and physical retail, Trimitiy developed an e-commerce website that brought the Tribalight story and its growing product portfolio onto one digital platform.

The website was designed not simply as an online catalogue, but as an extension of the brand experience, helping customers understand the story, discover products across categories and purchase them through a professional and accessible digital storefront.

Digital Marketing

Building the Brand Over Two Years

Brand development did not end with the launch. Over the two-year project duration, Trimitiy managed Tribalight’s social media presence and digital marketing, creating continuous communication around its products, brand story and market activities.

Through consistent branded content, product communication, campaigns and digital promotion, the objective was to steadily expand awareness, generate consumer interest, drive traffic to the digital ecosystem and build stronger market visibility for the Tribalight portfolio.
